On Friday, February 28th, the Webster/Waubay FFA Chapter traveled to Groton, SD, to compete in a Career Development Event (CDE). This event gave our students the opportunity to test their skills, gain valuable experience, and compete against other FFA members from across the region.
A highlight of the event was the announcement that our chapter won the food drive contest that took place February 18th-21st! With over 190 items collected, we were proud to donate everything to the Day County Food Pantry, helping support families in need within our community.
In addition to our success in the food drive, our students competed in several CDEs, with impressive results:
Agricultural Mechanics – 6th place
Horse Evaluation – 4th place
Veterinary Science – 15th place
Livestock Evaluation – 1st place
These are just a few of the many teams that competed, and we are incredibly proud of all our members for their hard work and dedication!
Looking ahead, our chapter will be traveling to Redfield on Friday, March 7th, for another round of competition. We’re excited to continue growing, learning, and representing Webster/Waubay FFA with pride. Stay tuned for more updates!
