Our K-6 students had a SWEET time in Elementary Ag this week learning how whipped cream is made! We started by talking about where cream comes from (hint: dairy cows!) and how it's turned into all kinds of yummy things we eat.
Then, the real fun began—everyone got to make their own whipped cream! We poured heavy cream into jars and shook them like crazy until it turned thick and fluffy. The kids were so excited to see the change—and even more excited to taste it! We even got to see how it could turn into butter!
It was a fun, hands-on way to learn about where our food comes from and just one more reason why agriculture is awesome!
